I know I usually (well ok, not for a while) but I always try really hard to have a "My Digital Studio" project Mondays. This week I wanted to share a great tip. Even if you're a traditional scrapbooker and use your computer to do all your journaling, you'll love this! Did you know, every Friday Creating Keepsakes Online has "Free Font Friday"! That means every single Friday they offer a new font for you to download to use for what ever creative projects you want! Also, if you're one of the 500 million people using Facebook, you can follow them, and every Friday they will give you a reminder!

Happy Birthday Brady!

So today is my big boys birthday! It's hard to believe he's the big 0-3 already! It's funny, because I never thought that he was going to come out! He was bound and determend to stay in where it was nice and warm!He was 9 days overdue (can I tell you how badly that bit), then when I finally did go into labor, it lasted 29 hours! Which included 2 full hours of pushing! I was crazy to have another baby! He was such a good baby, up once in the night to eat, burp, get a diaper change and right back to bed. I always say he was the most complacent child I had ever seen. You could dangle him upside down holding him by 1 toe and he would still smile. Not much has changed. The terrible 2's have almost killed me at times, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. These past 3 years have gone by in the blink of an eye. I just want to freeze time and keep him my snuggly, cuddly little boy.

Breathe! Ok, so every year I have found the cutest birthday shirts at Carter's. Well it seems by "Big Boy" (as he calls himself) is too big for the cute birthday shirts this year. So it was up to me and "My Digital Studio" to make his shirt! I LOVE IT! I used all in the family to create the face. I filled it in using the oval punch with blush blossom, I just stretched it around to fill the face. Then I used the medium heart punch for the ears. For the hair I used the scallop oval punch and chocolate chip. For the candle and balloon in "Birthday Boy" I used "Big Bold Birthday". This shirt is going to get a lot of use out of it! He's wearing it today for his birthday, Sunday we're having a party with all his family, and next Sunday we're going to the local Children's museum for a party with his little buddies!

MDS Monday...uhhh Tuesday!

 Happy Tuesday! I love short weeks!! Yesterday was a holiday here so I was totally thrown off by Jon being home. I was sure it was Sunday lol. So I'm totally running a day behind! I'm still working on family organization! I LOVE organization, you would never tell by walking into my house right now, but organization and routine are my 2 favorite things!!! I have a huge calendar on my fridge in the kitchen. The days get pretty filled with with the names and times of the kiddo's who come to my daycare. Some days there's nothing left for our family. So I decided to turn our upright freezer in our laundry/mud room into our family area. I have the chore chart, and my weekly calendar that I use for meal planning, and now this calendar. It's so handy to have 2 different calendars to keep the 2 different areas of our lives separate!

Well my stamp room is all packed up and just about ready to move, again! Jon has painted and started laying the flooring in my new stamp room in the basement!! It is BEAUTIFUL! I can't wait to be all moved down into my new space!!! Isn't it funny to think in the 2 years I've been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I've had 3 different stamp rooms all within the same house! Here's a sneak peek at my room. This was taken last weekend before the flooring was started. We still need to add the ceiling, but you get the jest of it!

MDS Monday

Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Today I wanted to share just how easy it is to create a keepsake calendar! The picture shown is from Mason's First Year Calendar! I love being able to add pictures and text to the same day! I remember doing Brady's first year calendar, every time he did something I would have to dig though everything that I had sitting out on my desk to find that months calendar page. It is really helpful to just open my laptop (because I always have MDS open!) and jot a little note about something special that happened that day. It's really made keeping track of all the special firsts and big events that much easier! And I love anything that makes life easier!

MDS Monday

Good Monday morning!  I promise I have been trying so hard to find time for you! But 24 hours just doesn't seem to be enough for me...{sigh} Life has been in over drive lately! Brady's done preschool for the summer, I'm back to work, we're still renovating our house, and Mason is almost 3 months old!!! Really, where has the last 3 months gone? He is so adorably interactive (or at least as interactive as a 3 month old can be) he babbles and coos to anyone who talks to him, his face lights up when he sees me walk into the room and he adores his big brother. Have 2 kids is so much fun! I was giving the boys a bath the other night, big brother Brady was so helpful washing Mason's belly and his feet for me, and Mason was just in aw of Brady. He will just sit and watch him and laugh at him and try to "talk" to him. Oh! I could go on for days about how awesome my boys are!!

Today's page if from Brady's year end class party. They went to the local splash pad/playground for a picnic. It was so much fun watching him run around and interact with his friends. Oh to be 2 and 3 again!! It was a little chilly that day, but those kiddos did not care! They ran and splashed and played for the longest time. I honestly had to drag Brady out of there to get him dried up and changed for lunch! For this project I started with a Baja Breeze background (which is 1 of the new standard colours as of July 1!) I then used the brush set Extreme Elements for the background. The white was a little harsh so I toned the opacity to 40%. I used the curly label punch in white and made it much bigger to use as the journaling box and matted it on Pacific Point (which is also a returning colour!!) I also journaled in Pacific Point with the font "Angelina" ( I downloaded it for free off of a font website, sorry I can't remember, but if you like it email me and I'll be more then happy to send you the file :)) For the title I used the font "Wonkers" from www.1001freefonts.com, this is actually where I've gotten most of my fonts. The main picture is 5 1/2 x 7 1/2 and the smaller pictures are 2.5 x 2.5. It needed a little something to jazz it up, so I added some buttons from the Button Bouquet pack.

Hybrid Mother's Day

This one's a little late, but still I was thinking about my blog at the time! This was the card that we gave my Mom for Mother's Day. I LOVE the set "All in The Family" but don't own it *GASP* I know!! I can not tell you how excited I was when I saw this set was included on "My Digital Studio" The possibilities are endless with this set! Brady had a birthday party a few weeks ago and I made a little Brady and a little Evan. They were pretty little, so I super sized them (I really wish I would have been on the ball that day to take a picture of that card) That is maybe not the #1 thing, but a close second reason I love this program. You want you're stamp or embellishment to be larger, no problem! You can shrink or enlarge your "stamp" or embellishment to sizes that are just perfect for your project. You can also mirror stamps! (see the cats)

Sometimes Less is More

Today is another page about Mason! While I was still pregnant I was approached by a super talented local photographer. She was interested in doing some maternity pictures of me and my family (remember the stunning picture of Jon, Brady and I when I was 36 weeks pregnant? No? Scroll down, it's worth it! I'll wait here for you to come back! See Brady made that picture so special!) She was also wanting to follow the baby through it's first year of life! Awesome!! I thought, I know with 2 kiddos I'm not going to have the time to spend taking pictures of every second of Mason's day like I used to with Brady. So if someone is willing to put up with us for the next year, as well as document our children's lives, then I'm all over that!

I LOVE this picture of Mason and I! This page, as simple and easy as it was to make, has to be the most rewarding for me. I feel tears coming every time I look at it. This page totally describes my thoughts at that moment. Mason is our last baby (very bittersweet) When I was doing this page, I couldn't think of a title powerful enough to express exactaly how I feel. I wanted something that would show my love and express our bond, something that would always tell Mason just how much I love him and how I feel. Then I thought why am I putting so much thought into this? Robert Munsch already took care of this for me! "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."

Meet Mason!

Good Monday morning! This weekend officially kicked off summer here in Canada! And we FINALLY had some nice weather here in SW Ontario! It has been so cold and wet here for the whole month of May. Would you believe I bought a little snow suit for Mason when I was pregnant and he wore it more in May then he did in April! We've had some crazy weather here! Saturday we planted a veggie garden! First time green thumbs here!! I'm pretty excited, but don't have much of an idea of what I'm doing. So if any of you have an suggestions, or tips...I'm all ears {or should I say eyes hehehe} Yesterday we went to Rock Glen Falls with my sister and one of my brothers with their family's and my parents to celebrate their 36thAnniversary! Wowsers!!! I think sometimes 3 1/2 years seems like a life time! So Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad!! Here's to 36 more happy, healthy years :)

Isn't he cute!!! I know I've already introduced you to our newest addition, Mason. This time I wanted to share with you his birth announcement. I had plans on making these really cute announcements using his foot print. Well, Mason had other plans! Plans that involve colic!!! The one good thing about it, I've got a lot of scrapbooking done! With traditional scrapbooking, I wouldn't be able to do it one handed. Again, another reason I love MDS! I will probably be sharing lots of MDS pages in the weeks to come. I like trying to keep my blog up to date (I know I've been really bad these past few months, sorry) but it has been impossible to spend time in my stamp room lately.

MDS Monday

Ok, I have totally fallen in LOVE with MDS all over again! Not that I ever fell out of love with it!  I have had my eye on thisadorable chore chart on EMTanner's website {Jon and Kate fans, you know who I'm talking about ;)} But I really could not see myself spending $60 on a chore chart! I thought and thought about it, man I really wanted one! Then Friday it hit me, DUH! Make your own silly!!! So I did! Let me tell you, one perk to having a baby who doesn't feel the need to sleep, you get a lot done in the night! This project did take time. Probably about an hour or so. But so worth it! I can't express how happy I am with how this turned out!!! I printed it out in 12x16! It is BEAUTIFUL!!! I also laminated it and added magnets on the back so that it can hang on our fridge (it takes up most of the bottom of the fridge!!)

MDS Monday

It's been a long time since I last posted a MDS project! Well I finally found some new inspiration. Thursday evening Mason was born! Everything went perfect! Brady is so proud of his little brother.

So of course, for today's project I used pictures of an adorable 8lb 12oz boy! I used a Very Vanilla base, and then an assortment of Kraft, So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue. I then used accessories from the the Rock-A-Bye Designer Kit.

I'm not sure what size I'm going to get this page printed. I may do a 6x6 size and use them as birth announcements.
